303 Web Syncing issues
Posted 08 Jun 2006 at 10:34am to the Arles Archaeological Museum project
i uploaded my web site with my renders last night, i climbed out of bed this mornignto check that it had uploaded, and it handnt. so i thought i hadnt uploaded it properly. So here i am back at school, the last place i thought i would be on a sunny thursday morning. ok, so i put all my files into my r-drive, the index page isnt buried within folders, and i checked to make sure it ran within the r-drive, it did, so i proceeded to the reasonate web site to sync my web site. i have just done this and am waiting for the outcome, i fear iut might not work again.
so i am not sure what to do if it doesnt work again, perhaps david u could manually update my webpage from my last website hand in using ur special powers.
this email is also just a note to say that im finished, and thank you very much for the huge learning semester.

i had done a web sync, worked fine apart from rollovers. decided to fix it. i did fix it, updated my r drive, went to sync, said that it was doing it, but wouldnt update from my last sync, please dont tell me it was a one time get it right the first time situation......
web sync

have done a web sync, and the web site worked sweet as, however, the roll over images didnt work, so i changed them to flat images, i then re updated my r drive with the new web site, checked it within the r drive and it worked sweet, i then proceeded to re sync my web site, but it wont over write my last web site. I have done everything i can, so i am just going to leave it.
I hope mike, or david that u might have a solution, however, seeing as it is due in tonyt, i fear u may be viewing the outdated one. please note that the current web page is all fixed and working without the errors the roll overs were creating!!
thankyou

R Drive Uploading
Posted 03 Jun 2006 at 1:54pm to the Arles Archaeological Museum project
just a quick query, seeing as it is hand in day for us archy students.
I made the R drive as the upload directory as stated a few days ago, and tested it out and wat not, and it worked fine, i have obviously added on to my web site since then, so i updated my r drive by "putting" it in there, however, when i go to check that it was worked by going to my web address, it doesnt seemt o work, is that due to the fact that u, david, have to do something at ur end like an update before my R drive files will let it work. I was just wondering as we do have to hand it in tonyt, and also the whole sync aspect, u stated that i should only click sync if i have said yes to all the above. but as stated, the web site doesnt work just yet. so i am not sure whether to hit sync or not.
I am also just documenting this fact so if there is any finger pointing for not doing something i actually have. thanx.

after finishing with design for the semester, im ready to get back into the whole 303 scene again.
have just been working on my website, it is coming along swimmingly. i guess all those hours of just playing around is starting to pay off.
have to add the information on the blogging and how the modelling process happened. aswell as a few extra tricky things like the embedded interactive model. that sounds interesting. but ah, other than that, yea, shes going swellagantly.
peace out to all my architecture bruthas who are in the process of handing in their design schemes. rock on. primo semester
