renderings
Posted 07 Jun 2006 at 4:35pm to the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center project
...the file is just too big for me. Am deleting and hiding all the time
but it still makes trouble for me. Had some renderings that got
closer to what I want, but still not doing it for me.

later renderings
Posted 05 Jun 2006 at 8:00pm to the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center project
Now I have limited myself to a very simple scene, which doesn't make me happy because I can't really tell my story that well through this image.
But it will have todo. Hate having to settle with this.
But the render is working on its own and I will let it do its thing.
Know now can't make 15 renders but will do the ones I can.

network down again
Posted 05 Jun 2006 at 4:01pm to the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center project
This is getting annoying. the brake downs again.
The renderings (tests) are going extremely slow
and I am in doubt if I will be able to finish any decent
renderings of my wonderful model.
Quite sad now that the model is there. but will keep
on trying.
Had some funny looking images today - two are submitted here.
hi David

now the web page should be working in terms of
roll-over images and the index sitting in the right place
Thanks / Karina

Now the model with only cases and all the right
geometry is in working and is able to be saved.
So tomorrow will be hard core image making :-)

solving geometry
Posted 03 Jun 2006 at 11:30pm to the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center project
Drawing in VIZ was harder than I thought,
so finished drawing in ArchiCAD and saced and import again,
has been an easy transaction because know now how to do.
Also I deleted more of Carro's cases to minimise the file even more.
Hate doing this but think its nessesary.
I should probably have said this in the last 10 postings -
my profile is acting weird and the hole process of working
with these programmes with this file has been incredibly
slow and time consuming.

Materials in VIZ
Posted 03 Jun 2006 at 8:50pm to the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center project
Got my model in (half of it) as dwg and seems to work.
Have found many geometrical faults and wonderring if I should
bring the model to ArchiCAD again and redo the geometry
and then repeat the whole process to get into VIZ again.
This will be time consuming, so will figure out if possible
to create geometry easily in VIZ without ruining things for myself.
This is perspective view until now - can't save my max file though.
That is also a problem now. Because if I can't save my rendering then
thing are bad - so a few issues to figure out tonight.

File problems importing into VIZ
Posted 02 Jun 2006 at 10:47pm to the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center project
After doing a lot of preparation on getting the files ready for VIZ -
taking it into AutoCAD, cleaning up the layers, recovering the file
so no errors and saving it as a 3ds, then had it into VIZ and so many
things are missing now. And its not even layers, its single objects that
are simply not there. I feel really tired now and need some sleep.
Am running out of patience.... yaks
