i think im gonna ditch mental ray .......but well see. i had to make some of my own bump maps. the brick wall isnt really working but the materials are starting to get there. this render took 20 seconds

Ok just checked it with the following link and it works fine there. its just web area with reasonate thats having issues.

Just checked my web page 5 mins ago and it was working fine. now onoy my home page works and all my links have errors. dont know whats goin on.

starting to do the small details for the space. these are my lights that are on the skylights. im only modelling 1 so in viz well copy as instance to prevent calculating all of them. ill put reference points in the model as well so we know where they go.

I was thinking of a theme for my renderings for the assignment over the weekend and decided that i MIGHT focus on the lighting conditions for the exhibition space(s) during differnet times of the day and year for its current location.

ive finally managed to import my model into power point with the 3 set views. How i did this is:

1: created my cameras in viz.

2: exported the model to 3ds format in viz

3: open autocad and type 3dsin   and open ed the model

4: then in autocad type 3dsout, then type all and press enter thus resaving the model.

5: import 3d model in power point.

Some basic interior renders, nothing fancy. will do more tomorrow.
