Posted 08 Jun 2006 at 10:09pm by Simon McDowell
Hi Dave
I uploaded my final renders on to my website today, syncrinised it etc but it hasn't worked on reasonate. I didn't have any problems with the uploads previously. All the works was on the R drive before 9 tonight so am i safe with the hand in? I assume so. Any ideas on why its not working?
Just for fun

Panaramic of Yad Vashem

This is a link to a panaramic of the featrue passageway that spans 200m along the site. Although its quite pixelated it does give you a sense of scale of the space and appreciation for the light contrasts within the space.

Posted 05 Jun 2006 at 2:31pm by Simon McDowell
Computers down at 1:30pm on monday queens birthday. Lost 2 light stduio renders that had been going for 3 hours. Lost them both. Finding these working conditions impossible considering the proximaty of the due date. Its not the first time this has happened!
Radiosity Problems
Posted 23 May 2006 at 3:30pm by Paul Muir (who else?)
Hey all,
I am having a problem where when I run radiosity the geometry of the model itself is being altered, so I am getting nice renders, but they are renders of distorted buildings. Does anyone know what may be cayusing this and how it can be fixed?
The building was modeled in revit and imported into viz as a dwg file. Initial imports did not render solid extrusions properly so 3d solids had to be imported as ACIS ( I think) solids insteand of polymeshes.

Renders

I am really happy with the main space renders(the triangular shaft). I can see it has great potential in light studies. The gallery spaces still need a lot of work and will be my focus over the next week. So far so good!

can't be bothjered attaching jimmys bit, have got other courses to do work on. Got the saved views to work but I think the whole 3ds thing makes the model look very average.
