ahhhh big sigh of relief, I'm done  : )  might go back to it and fix up some stuff tomorrow, just cosmetic things and trying to get a top on that curved wall.  the tutorial felt like it took SO long, and you had to figure out more by yourself than the other tutes.  also the 3d view was nowhere near as easy to navigate in as, say, revit. 

another poo poo: it was only by mistake (i.e not the tutorial teaching me) that i found out how to make cool shapes and things other than straight lines. now that i know its there im pacified a bit but it shouldnt have been that hard to find out about should it? also, the snaps just werent snappy enough. i like mine real crunchy.

not sure which program i prefer overall yet, they all have pros and cons.
